Discovering the Wonders of the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center

The Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a magnificent facility located in the heart of Hays County. It serves as a platform for a variety of school district and campus events and performances, as well as being available for rent to the community and outside organizations. The Cultural Arts Program at the Hays County Government Center is devoted to exhibiting local artistic efforts and encouraging public dialogue, understanding, and appreciation of the visual arts. The mission of the program is to present a series of exhibitions that reflect the artistic excellence and cultural diversity of the Hays County metropolitan area, while also promoting the county's cultural and economic initiatives.

ProjectArt has recently partnered with Wimberley Parks and Recreation to bring more art installations to all parks, as well as other enjoyable activities. It is important to note that the Hays County Government Center does not function as a gallery or museum, and is frequented by citizens with diverse opinions and backgrounds who are there to do business with the county. Hays County does not receive commissions or compensation for any works of art displayed at the Hays County Government Center. The Arts Committee may cancel an exhibition on display if they deem it necessary to protect the artwork or because of an unexpected use of the building. Every organization or artist that lends works of art for display at the Hays County Government Center must submit a full loan agreement to the Arts Committee.

The lender is responsible for all aspects of a transaction to sell works of art that are displayed at the Hays County Government Center. The Arts Committee may allow a lender to install the exhibition under their supervision or provide at least one person to assist in the installation. The works of art exhibited in these public areas must be appropriate for an office environment and for public officials, county employees, and citizens who carry out business transactions in the building to view. Jamie has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art in 1997 from the University of Houston and a certificate as an art teacher. Works of art that are exhibited at the Hays County Government Center during an exhibition will remain in place until the end of the exhibition, unless approved by the Arts Committee for early removal. If approved in writing by the building manager, the Arts Committee can allow the lender to uninstall an exhibition or help them dismantle and remove all works of art and other components of an exhibition.

If there is a complaint that a particular piece of art is mocking, vulgar, appalling, or offensive to visitors, it will be reviewed by the county judge who will make a decision. Parks offer wonderful educational opportunities for all ages, and combining environmental art together is ideal for raising awareness. An organization or individual wishing to exhibit an exhibition at the Hays County Government Center must submit a proposal to the Arts Committee. So if you're looking for upcoming special programs or activities at the arts center in Hays County, you can be sure that there are plenty of options available!
